Communicating with the applicants is one of the core parts of the hiring process and sending emails is the most popular way of doing it.

Given its popularity, we made sure that it's easy enough that you can do it blindfolded. Without further ado, let's get started.

Prerequisites: Link your email account

If you haven't done so already, link your email account to Flatwork ATS to send emails. You can learn how to do it here.

Option 1: Send an email from a candidate's detail page

This is the first way to send an email. This method can also show your previous correspondence with the candidate.

To send an email, you need to click the New Email button. This will open an email composer view within the candidate page. There you can change the FROM if you have multiple email addresses added, add CC and BCC as you like.

You can then define the subject of the email and the body. Currently, the email body doesn't support attachments. We plan to include it in the future.

Option 2: Send an email from a job listing dashboard

If you want to act fast without losing time on the candidate detail page, you can also send an email to any candidate directly on the job listing detail screen.

All you have to do is to select a candidate on the table and click on the Email button.

This action will open a side drawer for you to compose your email and send it. Note that you can't change the recipient as it's taken directly from the candidate's details.

Option 3: Send an email from a talent pool dashboard

The last method is similar to how we do it on the job listing dashboard. On any talent dashboard, you can select talent and click on the Email button. This will open our email composer, and you can send your email from there.
